“Cameras will be everywhere – our movement is behaviour”
In the early 90‘s Andreas Russ, founder of Simi, took this as motivation for his vision on why computers will be able to understand human behaviour by means of digital images. Based on this he started a company focusing on development of software to make human movement measureable by cameras and useable in any application.
Today this is common sense and still drives us. Cameras are everywhere (for example in your pocket) and machine learning revolutionized the ability to detect human movement. Movement data are used widely in sport and medical, in media and entertainment, in animation and gaming, in robots, automotive and more. It is such an exciting field to understand how we move, what it does to us and to the world. Simi Automotive focuses on movement data in the sector of future mobility. There is a lot to explore!
